Where are the donations used?

    • Funds to used for HSNC operational expenses

    • Funds to enhance campus for future additions/enhancements
    • Land purchase and construction/beatification on campus

    • Funds for scholarships to help bright/needy students. (criteria to be determined)

How can you donate?

  • Cash Donation
    • Donate Online
    • Writing check to HSNC
      Please put proper details in MEMO field so that donation is logged properly
    • Donate cash (green bills) into Hundi at the temple
  • Long term Donation
    • They can be used to donate long-term endowments. This would provide a continuous source of income to HSNC.

  • HSNC accepts securities in the form of QCD from IRA or RMD from 401K.

Ways you can make monetary donations

  • Donation using QCD (Qualified Charitable Distribution)
    • Donations to HSNC can be made directly from qualified retirement accounts (like 401K / IRA etc.)
      These donations can be tax-free (please check with your CPA)
    • Our senior members can fund from their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to QCD without itemizing deductions
  • Life Insurance Beneficiary
    Buying new Life insurance or update existing life insurance and adding HSNC as the beneficiary for your life insurance proceedings
  • Donation through WILL
    • Adding HSNC as one of the beneficiaries to your WILL

Donation Opportunities

The CARES act allows deduction of up to 600 dollars (single 300, married 600) even if you are filing the tax return with standard deduction. Government has passed this rule to support charities like HSNC in this epidemic time.
Donate Food for HSNC Food Program

HSNC Gives Back to the Community!

Starting in April, HSNC Volunteers prepare food for about 200 people to be donated to the Homeless Shelter in Downtown Raleigh. We plan to continue donating food at least once every week to help the most needy in our larger community.

HSNC Needs Donations

We need funds for two critical needs – Temple Renovation and Main Hall Renovation.
  • Donate online and select appropriate category: Donate Online to HSNC
  • Write a check to “HSNC” and drop it in Hundi box, or mail to 309 Aviation Pkwy, Morrisville, NC 27560

Temple Renovation

Temple is 30 years old, and immediately needes improvements.
  • 2 AC Unit replacements
  • New fresh air intake system
  • Replace fans and lights
  • Install divider curtain between temple hall and deity worship area
  • Parking lot resurfacing (completed, cost $40K)
  • Cost of these remaining renovations is going to be more than $100,000.
Select “Temple Renovation” category in HSNC Online Donation Portal to donate or send a check to HSNC with “Temple Renovation” in the memo.

Sponsor a religious and cultural event

Besides learning center project, there are several religious and cultural events throughout the year, where you can sponsor the events. Here are few major events. Please contact respective events Committee Volunteers, President, Treasurer or any Directors.
  • Mahashivratri Abhishek and celebration
  • Holi Cultural Program and celebration
  • Krishna Janmashtami Festival
  • Ganesh Festival
  • Navaratri Festival
  • Dushera Program and Ravan Dahan
  • Diwali Dhamaka
  • Govardhan Puja (Annakut)

Donation can be in form of Prasad or Shringar for Deities.

Volunteer Time for HSNC operations, and events.

Religious and cultural events listed above required tremendous planning, preparations and team work on the day of the event. If you cannot not donation financially, sign up to volunteer. Normal operations like facilities maintenance, communications, finance operations also requires yearlong commitment of several hours of volunteer time. Submit Volunteering Request

Triangle Community Wide Events

HSNC highly encourages members and devotees to participate in humanitarian and interfaith charitable activities. Donations for such activities can be made to HSNC and HSNC can pass the funds on to relevant organizations. Such participation strengthen HSNC image as an active community organization. Contacts:
